Dr Roslyn Carbon is the new director of Silver Chain Home Hospital, having finished as acting state manager for the RACGP with the return from maternity leave of Malvina Nordstrom.

Curtin Uni’s Prof of Health Policy Mike Daube has received the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand’s President’s Award for his significant contribution to respiratory medicine – in his case, smoking cessation and tobacco control.

Ms Chelsea Hardy had taken up the position of marketing and communications manager with the Leukaemia Foundation.

Ms Debbie Kiely has joined Richard Curia, Paul Frenis and John Paynter on the Investec Experien finance team.

SJOG Health Care chief executive Dr Michael Stanford has been awarded the Industry and Commerce Award as part of the 2010 WA Citizen of The Year Awards. Under his stewardship in the last five years, SJOG Health Care revenue has doubled as a not-for-profit organization.

Prof Gary Geelhoed has been admitted to the AMA Roll of Fellows. Gary is a UWA graduate who joined the AMA in 1975. He has been involved in various AMA medico-political activities over the years as a paediatrician and emergency physician at PMH.

Mr Colin Keogh has been appointed new Director of Mission at St John of God Hospital Murdoch. He has held positions with the WA Council of Social Services, the Minister for Community Services, and Family Information and Adoption Services.

SJOG Murdoch CEO Mr Peter Mott has been elected Chair of the Board at Lifeline WA after some five years on the board. He is joined by Brett Goodridge and replaces John Franklyn O.A.M.
