Still at St John of God, Ms Anna Roberts has been appointed inaugural Mental Health Program Coordinator. Anna is a registered psychologist and a former consultant for the WA Health Dept's Mental Health Division.

Dr David Russell-Weisz has been appointed the Chief Executive of the North Metropolitan Area Health Service (NMAHS).

Dr Robyn Lawrence has been named as the Executive Director of the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS).

Mr Colin La Galia has been appointed as Regional Sales and Marketing Manager, Australia and New Zealand for medical devices company Visiomed. Colin was previously the WA District Business Manager for Glaxo SmithKline. GSK has not yet named a replacement for Mr La Galia.

WA Health Department budget strategy director Mr Wayne Salvage has been named as Acting Director-General of the new WA Department of Communities, which will come into existence on July 1.

Ms Sheila Hood has been appointed General Manager of HBF Health Insurance.

Ms Samantha Dowling has been appointed as Senior Policy Officer for WA GP Network.

Ms Suzanne Velarde has resigned from GP Coastal as Publicity and Business Development Officer. Until a replacement is found, GP Coastal office manager Lynn Smith will temporarily fill her position. Ms Velarde will continue in her role with Fremantle GP Network

RPH oncologist Dr Andy Redfern has won a four-year scholarship from the National Breast Cancer Foundation to research whether a suite of proteins may be a viable breast cancer treatment.

Mr Frank Welsch-Lehmann has been appointed CEO of medical technology company Medec following the resignation of Mr Josef Plattner. Mr Chris Fairman has been appointed as a non-exective director.

SCGH rheumatologist and geriatrician Dr Charles Inderjeeth has received a national two-year Fellowship from the Department of Veterans' Affairs and the National Institute of Clinical Studies to develop better identification and treatments for osteoporosis.
