The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry has announced its Teaching and Learning awards, which fall in to several categories, including general practice, health sciences, dentistry and one for medical teaching in each of the major hospitals. Congratulations to winners Professor Turab Chakera from RPH and associated teaching facilities, Dr Steve Richards from SCGH and associated teaching facilities, Dr Krish Karthigasu from KEMH, Princess Margaret Memorial Hospital, Graylands and associated teaching facilities, the Consultant Physicians of the Department of General Medicine at Fremantle Hospital, Dr Fred Faigenbaum for General Practice teaching, Mr Ray Williamson for Dentistry, Ms Jennifer Riatti for Health Science teaching and Emeritus Professor David Allbrook for General teaching.
Liz Drew – Marketing Manager for Hollywood Hospital leaves them for pastures anew. A replacement has yet to be appointed.
Simon Hood has vacated the medical board registrar post to pursue his career in accounting. Dr Bryant Stokes will be his temporary replacement.
Slavica Loskoski has been appointed new marketing coordinator for Medical Products Group.
Kerryn Millar has moved from practice manager to northern suburbs territory manager for IPN. Dale Brown has been appointed state manager with IPN, a position unfilled since Ian Wells left last year.
Justin Koleits has moved from the AMA to become manager of medical recruitment at River Medical Services, which manages rural general practices in WA and interstate.
